GRIMSTHORPE CASTLE

The Mile is a celebration of the motorcycle culture in all its forms, with a non-stop programme of racing, exhibitions, music, entertainment, scrambles, adventuring, food, drinks, and much much more. The annual celebration of the British summertime, the motorcycle culture, with world class bands and live music from the Main Stage, the Expedition Exhibition, The Art Of Machine art show, brand exhibitions and the now legendary Mile After-Party.

We can’t wait to host the 2026 Malle Mile again at the uniquely beautiful Grimsthorpe Castle and their 6000 acres of stunning grounds. The deer park and ancient oak forests will play host to The Mile with a magnitude of off road races, a road rally and unique 2, 3 and 4 wheeled adventures throughout this beautiful estate. Grimsthorpe Castle is located exactly 100 miles North of London and in the centre of Great Britain, leading The Mile pilgrimage to the heart and centre of the country.

As ever, each year we strive to push The Mile further than ever before, to this end we’re introducing new races, road rallies and new race classes for all ages and bike types, new or old! Ensuring a lot more racing action, less time in the pits, more parties, more exhibitions, more music, fun and a lot more motorcycles! This year 1000+ motorcycles will race in our series of adventure tracks and races over The Malle Mile festival weekend and since the very first year our ethos has not changed; everyone is invited to join and race anything on 2+ wheels and no one is expected to win.

The Malle family and our team of dedicated Malle Marshalls will be putting their heart and soul into hosting the festival and we can’t wait for the first race flag to drop. We want to thank our amazing community of riders, our supporting brands, encourageable friends, family and volunteers for making The Mile what it has become over the years – The Mile is yours, Viva La Mile!

FAQ'S

This page should answer all your questions, if not, please check The Mile Page before emailing us.

I like winning, what happens if I don’t win?The Mile is the motorcycle race that no-one wins, but we all love trying, join the fun!

Can I bring my dog?
We love them, but a loud motorcycle race probably isn’t the best place for animals with hyper sensitive hearing. But well behaved dogs are allowed, if kept on a lead at all times.

Is there a secure bike park?
Yes we have dedicated motorcycle parking, behind floodlit security fencing with 24 hour security watching over all bikes. You’ll need a secure parking pass, available for free at the gate.

What safety kit do I need?
If you’re riding at The Mile, a helmet, gloves and boots are essential. We also recommend body armour.

Can I bring a motorhome?
Yes, but please being the smallest one from your motorhome collection and please park considerately.

Why are the festival tickets so cheap?
It’s true nearly every other festival in the country costs 2-3 times more than The Mile, but we want to ensure everyone can experience it.

Why are the festival tickets so expensive?
We create the highest level of enjoyment at an utterly unique, once a year motorcycle experience, that is like no other. It takes months of planning and costs hundreds of thousands to host stages, security, exhibitions, bands, races, medical teams, parking, staff, hospitality etc. But it’s all worth it.

Is it a long way from my car to my tent?
About 200m.

Can I pitch my tent next to my mates van?
For safety reasons we need to keep vans and tents separate. So that no vehicles are driving in the camping area.

I make motorcycle themed products, can I exhibit in The Mile Metropolis?
Good question! We champion the makers and brands who make the best of whatever is they do! If it resonates with the adventure of the motorcycle culture, we’d love to help. We avoid the cheap dream catchers and leather corsets that inexplicably appear at most automotive events.

What happens if it rains?
We get wet and have a lot of fun doing it. This is a rain or shine event, tickets are non-refundable.
